MANDO Youth Development Group began as a way to support youth at risk of incarceration — especially those involved in gang activity — and youth returning from juvenile detention.
Over time our program has expanded to include youth of all ages who could benefit from ongoing, long-term support and social services.
Through partnership with schools, law enforcement, juvenile correction and community members, MANDO mentors and develops youth through daily activities, career planning, sports and fitness, and behavioral and mental health services.

Marcos Aviles was incarcerated at 15. Today he leads MANDO with a simple promise — show up, listen, and stay long after the cameras leave. A short film with Marcos is on the way; in the meantime, meet the mentors walking with youth every week.
